How times change...
Here are two symbols of things that are extremely important to us! The clock/clock tower is our village's "Millennium Clock" dedicated in the year 2000 and helps us remember the passage of time and the part it plays in our busy, modern lives. However, almost 100 years ago, in 1908, measuring time wasn't as important back then as another precious item - water! Here is a fine example of the Edwardian era and the fact that something we all take for granted, free flowing water, was not readily available at that time throughout Britain. The water fountain is dedicated to George Baker Walsh and thanks to modern day technology we can find out something about the man here.
