Beauty in Death

From a distance, they just looked like a few dead (or soon to be dead) leaves on an otherwise healthy tree. On closer look, I was amazed at the beautiful colours, texture and patterns. Almost looks like a snake?

Thinking of my mother who passed away 41 years ago today.
