on the sunny side of the street bridge.

Mr Flum expressed a wish to visit the Wanlockhead Mining Museum. Between coffee and lunch in the friendly café and the museum we took a wander round over spoil heaps, admiring the hydraulic beam pump, the smelting shed and the rusting antique trucks while butterflies flitted in the warming air.

Over the little stream that runs beside the building there are several pretty rustic bridges, convenient for human and sheep alike.
