Ribbitt
We have quite a collection of frogs and toads in our pond and garden. Today a few of them have been enjoying the sunshine.
We didn't always have these amphibians. I imported some tadpoles about 15-20 years ago when I built the pond.
The following year I imported some more because we had no frogs.
BIG MISTAKE! It seems that after tadpoles have become frogs they leave their pond for a year and them come back. So having got two lots from ponds we were somewhat overrun when they all cam back!
So much so that I actually took nearly 100 out of our pond and reintroduced them to the pond I'd taken the tadpoles from.
These days were are down to a manageable number. The natural state of the pond seems to have settled things down.
And best of all we no longer need slug pellets to keep the snails and slugs at bay.
In other news, you almost got a blip of a breathalyser tube. 37 in a 30 zone was too quick for the Officer, but he wasn't bothered about my speed. He said it was all part of the summer drink drive campaign and he now had a reason to stop me. As such he could breathalyse me at 10am. It was clear of course. I'd actually prefer it if they didn't have to have a "reason" to stop us. Let's just have random breathalyser tests. Those of us in the clear will only object to the inconvenience.
And a super 25 mile bike ride in the sun this afternoon
Have a great week everyone
