Thornton in Lonsdale

We have come up to Ingleton in Yorkshire with some friends (including Coffeepotter and Nikonabike)

We are on a lovely campsite with this view across to the nearby village of Thornton in Lonsdale.  We are headed over there in a few minutes to the Marton Arms for a pint :-)

The church in the picture is famous for being where Arthur Conan Doyle got married.  He apparently held his reception afterwards in the Marton Arms.
