In much more bearable temperatures we took the short ferry ride across the Thames to Hampton then walked through shady Bushy Park to Hampton Court Gardens .

Near the Tiltyard cafe in Hampton Court this rather elegant lady had obviously been to the Flower Show and stopped off for a relaxing break. I thought the deckchair on the right was looking  enviously at her ice cream. Love the huge red hat.
