Ullapool sunset.
What a day.
Having spent 11 hours driving and backpacking into a bothy the previous evening I thought I was going to do one of the classic walks in Scotland, the Fisherfield Six.
All started well but 40 minutes after setting off I somehow managed to walk into a bog up too my knees. After taking my rucksack off and rolling out of the bog with a lot of effort.
10 minutes later I was not well. Perhaps it was the long journey perhaps it was being a bit lazy with getting my water but I was not going to get this walk done.
An hour later i got back to the tent and decided that it was better to retreat to Ullapool where at least I could have some home comforts and a WC close at hand.
A few hours rest was useful and at least gave me the opportunity to take this picture, the only one of the day.
