Let it roll

The heat lightening is making an interesting show out from the living room windows.  IT is HOT.  I did make a lunchtime ride today.  I pushed the first half as much as I could and then just sat back and rode easy for the second half.  Too hot!  Taking the camera with me is a good excuse to stop along the way, but unfortunately breaks the rhythm.

Today's photo is from a different angle.  Finally put the summer tires on this morning.  I rode the winter tires out as they won't make it another season.  Trying something different with the summer tires.   This is the fourth summer season with the A6 and the third pair of summer tires.   The Conti's ride and corner great, but don't last as long as I like.  I mounted some Nokian's today from our friends to the North.  Supposedly they make a nice summer tire too.  My Nokian winter tires made it three seasons with some tread to spare - so, I will see how these summer tires hold up.
