Carpe diem

I really like this bench in the Valley Gardens which commemorates a member of staff. It's s bit grubby but I like the sentiment - it's not really seize the day, but rather (I think) what you do day to day adds up to what you do with your life. There's much food for thought there .... Especially as it is located in the place I used to work before retiring! I am glad what I do each day is now not centred around work but things that are more meaningful for me, like blipping!
