Two Down .............

Spotted this little drama while looking for a parking space.

A forty year old tree is being protected by a nearby resident. A journalist and photographer from the local newspaper are doing what they do. And just off shot a bemused contractor, having just cut down two identical trees, waits for orders.

Apparently forty years is the 'useful' life of this species of ornamental tree, and all three trees will be replaced.
