London's burning

I came into the City via monument station this morning.

Sitting opposite me on the train was a little boy with his dad and gran. Up in London for the day for a treat, he was asking lots of question, one being "what is the monument for?"

Dad then told him about the great fire of London starting in Pudding Lane and the devastation caused.

An hour or so later I was walking though Hays Galleria and looking over towards the City again saw a striking cloud billowing up from the skyline.

For a moment I thought the London was burning again.
