The tropics of Portland. This looks like it should be in Mexico or the Mediterranean, instead this is a neighbor's house this morning as I was out for a walk at 6:30 a.m. It was deliciously cool and it was great to take a walk with the sun shining and not have to think about hat or sunscreen until later in the day.
It's been a week of things breaking down, our central air-conditioning system crapped out on us on Monday night, a technician can't come out to look at it until Monday - it being the 4th of July holiday coming up it's a short week so I am grateful it's as soon as Monday! Yesterday a computer monitor died, so a trip to Fry's at lunchtime today. Nothing's broken today but it's only 4 p.m. so there's time yet...

One of things I really like in this picture that I didn't see when I took it is the sunshine on the spider web by the palm, a perfect circle. Spiders are busy at the moment, I keep a broom on the porch to sweep my way through the webs down to the front gate each morning and again in the afternoon.
