First Time in Boston

Last night, we had a series of very loud and flashy thunderstorms which meant that none of us got very much sleep ... now it is very hot and humid, but at least the sun is shining.

Today, we drove to Boston from Connecticut, and Jackson was so excited to see the city for the first time!  We didn't arrive until about three o'clock this afternoon, so we just took a walk through Boston Common and Boston Public Garden.  Jackson was too shy to play with the other kids at the Frog Pond playground, and unfortunately the carousel wasn't open today ... but we did at least walk all around it, and chose which animal was Jackson's favorite.  Turns out, his favorite is the same as mine -- the rooster!  Maybe they'll be operating the ride tomorrow.

Now we're back at the apartment, and Mr. W and Jackson are busily constructing still more Legos!
