Kit

Meet Kit a Harris Hawk.  We have arrived at our next destination in the UK.....this morning I thought the heatwave was a storm in a tea cup as it was very overcast, but I was very wrong....the sun has broken through! 

We had a lovely light lunch and then we went off for our 'Hawk Walk'.  

Simon, Kits handler, was absolutely amazing, incredibly experienced and his love for his birds shone through.  Kit was incredible too and as you can see here we got to hold him, call him back, send him off and generally get to understand these amazing birds up close.  As today has been very warm, we had to be very careful that Kit didn't get too hot so spent a lot of time in shade with him and we did have to cut our walk a little short, but that was fine, Kits health is paramount (and ours too......35 degrees here apparently!)

Time now for showers and then dinner.
