If life is a painting

While I was trying to hunt for beautiful things for my photo-do after work today, I saw this beautiful painted sky. 

I like texture, lines, pattern, color contrast and light contrast. Sometimes I will focus on these specific areas (pattern on the tree bark, weathering/color change on the brick wall). They are like painting on their own. But sometimes I'm not sure if I'm achieving what I'm trying to do.  

In this photo, I love the color contrast and how the clouds formed in a way like water painting on a canvas. I like the lines formed from the clouds, some are stronger and sharper, while others are more gentle and faint. I have specifically left the bottom border line (which was color from the sky line), since I like an extra color component. However, I can't decide if it's disturbing or not?
