If we thought that the days of Mum/Dad’s taxi service were over we were wrong. Today Jane asked for a lift to see a friend now living in the south of the county. 

We decided to combine the drive with a visit to the RSPB reserve at Leighton Moss and then with my expert map reading found Gait Barrows nature reserve which is close by. It’s home to some rare plants and butterflies but I don’t think that the one in my blip comes into that category. Having looked through my butterfly book several times I think it’s a 'Specked Wood’.
