A new bloom....

The days all run together if I don't blip daily so I will try to stay clear.
Little Brother update:
Sunday we didn't hear from my sister in law. All we did know is that he was still in ICU. We left them alone as hard as it was. The kids came over to visit Gma and we ate. We tried to keep it light but we were tired and just sat around.

I worked only 5 hours, came home and took mom to the hospital. Still in ICU we didn't know what to expect but when we rounded the corner to his room we saw him sitting in a chair. We was able to talk through his wired jaw and crack a smile. He was in a lot of pain but finally able to do the swallow test and drink thick water. He was happy. But not as happy as when they brought in the Ensure, cream of chicken soup and vanilla pudding. It brought tears to my eyes to see him trying to maneuver the 'food' to his mouth and him enjoy it as much as possible.
We found out that he shredded a tendon and a blood vessel in his jaw...more reason beside the teeth he had swallowed so much blood. Another reason the surgery took so long. Poor kid.
Mom did really well. I was proud of her. She was really tore up at first and we all needed to be on our best behavior so he wouldn't stress him out and we have managed to keep calm, supportive and light. I even threw in a couple of bad jokes. That's all I got! Go team!
I took mom to her best friend's house and say goodbye. She is leaving Wednesday. I was glad she came and stayed with us.

I crashed hard Monday night. I can't imagine how exhausted my sister in law must be. I pray for her when I pray for him. She has been quite the advocate and support! And with her medical background helped save his life when they weren't catching the bleed from his liver. Hello!

Things are looking up.
