rebuilt bird feeder

Got the parts today to rebuild my bird feeder. Lifetime guarantee so I thought. I found a hole in it and took it back to Wild Birds Unlimited. They said the guarantee was only for squirrel damage. I said it was a squirrel and they relented and got the parts. Went to the manufacturer's site which said "no matter what" (not Wild Birds Unlimited).  In the future, I'll buy from the manufacturer. Don't want the trouble for a $50 feeder.
