Swarm Control

Juno walked with the crowd and it was a cracking morning.

Work was a account of figures.

Got a text saying my hive was going to swarm, headed to the apairy after lunch. We had to go through the hive and the queen and queen cells. A 3 hour job, checking each comb and setting up a new hive with the queen. We destroyed all but one of the queen cells and set up a nuc as a potential back up. 

After we started the tecnique we checked on the hives so hopefully the bees will not swarm now.

Home and tea, hens organised to go to a hen run for their holidays. When I was there checked the hives and it seems to be calmer now.
