Bath Time

The birds, not the dogs. Every day I'm blasting out any water and leaves etc. in the bird bath and refilling. They seem to appreciate it and fluff themselves up as well as getting a drink. Have to fill it a couple of times a day if the pigeons and blackbirds get in there because of their size, when they are bathing they do a lot more splashing then the sparrows and robins!

I love this hot weather but Marlane doesn't at all. Julia bought one of those cranky up parasol things, it's big and wide so gives a lot of shade to the garden table and patio. We've been out in the garden all day and still here at 2040 doing the blip. Did it a few hours ago but something went wrong, I think the laptop overheated and crashed, then I had to go to help our Son with a puncture, the wheel just would not come off. Needed a good thump, didn't work, put the wheel nuts back on finger tight and he drove in a slow circle (he was in the work multi storey) and that did it.

According to our temperature gauge on the wall it was 45 deg C today but it was in full sun and it's on a brick wall so it was bound to be higher. We put one in the shade and that went up to 28 shade temperature. Hot for the UK with the humidity as well.
Jonty was seeking shade most of the time but Foxy seems to love it. Have to move him indoors though or he'll get burned.
