The accidental finding

Four seasons: summer

Puzzle finished at last! Ordered it when ill, couldn't make head nor tail of it. Restarted it recently and thankfull it now makes sense. I don't normally do jigsaw puzzles in summer but this one was lying around not done, so I had to finish it. Tempted to start another now. The artist is Polish, Jacek Yerka. I am not keen on giant bears in summer houses, but it's not enough to put me off the whole scene.

Unfortunately a resource that I was awaiting for several months has arrived, so I will now have to get on with my course work. Meh. It's too hot to work, so I might just skip study for the duration of the heatwave.

Beautiful day: very hot. We took some children out to play on the grass for a short while, but mainly we stayed close to base, in a covered area. I might start to make some dens tomorrow.

I demonstrated miniature bookmaking, and Japanese stab binding, to a small bunch of children this afternoon. I thought that only one or two would want to take part, but it was quite the hit, possibly because I brought in miniature tools. I always hoped that the "making miniature books out of junk" course would come in handy, though I did in in 2008, before I was even working with children, so could not understand the fequent references to introducing mathematics into crafts!

I can feel a little book blip coming on.... tomorrrow maybe.
