Bad day

Did not start off a good day and didn't get any better but my day was definitely better than this poor wee guys :-(

We have a nest under eaves that were used by swifts last year but seem to have been taken over by different birds this year! We had a poor wee one fall out on Saturday that survived the fall which I called the RSPB out to who came out and took away (though not sure it would have survived). Unfortunately this wee guy either didn't survive the fall or the cats got it .....

I know its nature but still makes me feel sad and re-evaluate how short our lives really are.....kids and me buried it under a heavy planter tonight and a wee prayer was said.
