Habderdashery shop in HatWorks Museum, Stockport

Not many people at the HatWorks today. A shame, because it's a really great place.

Whilst my daughter was drawing a design for a hat, I wandered over to the mock haberdashery shop and peered at the contents in the display cabinets. All very interesting.

One of the signs says. 11 1/2d for Ladies Fleecy Knickers. I know just how cosy they are - we wore them for gym lessons at secondary school. They were a bit bulky though!
