Rouge Typo
The Rogue River is a major tributary of the Grand River and a renowned Michigan steelhead and salmon fishery. Its slow moving current and shallow depth make it ideally suited for canoeing, kayaking, fishing and birdwatching. The Rogue meanders for 42 miles, eventually draining into the Grand River in Belmont, MI.
Originally named the Rouge River, the Rogue received its present day name during the 19th century when a Wisconsin mapmaker misprinted the name.
