Summer Night Skies

After the winter months of watching for aurora alerts and disappearing off with jogging trousers over my pyjamas to chase the lights in the wee sma' hours, it would be easy to assume that I could take a break from hanging around rural spots pointing the camera North!
Not so!
The summer brings the ethereal beauty of the Noctilucent Clouds (NLCs) to our night skies.
There have already been some amazing shows this year but I have been too tired to get out of my cosy bed.
So glad I bothered last night.
Sometimes I think I prefer them to the aurora.
The structure and beauty is hypnotic...
Or maybe I am just odd!
