Arboretum

The first full day of DellCon2 and ten of us are here playing games, interspersed with tea, coffee, cheese and pizza.

I've lost track of which games were played when, but it was a great mix of new releases and old favourites.  Paul brought along the tip of his gameberg (2nd photo) including all three of the Spiel des Jahres candidates this year.  Those proved a bit underwhelming for me - there's only one I'd seriously consider buying.

However, the game of the weekend for me has been Arboretum, a game I'd picked up 'on spec' at Expo as perfectly fitted to the Dell House garden. A simple pack of cards, great artwork, and some very clever rule ideas resulting in much 'turn angst'.
