Let the island games commence!

Today was the opening ceremony of the Island games in Jersey, a time to shine! I'd not heard of the island games before now, but so far from what I've seen so far, it's seems rather popular and respected. It's great to see all the competitors from the 24 islands strolling around jersey in their team kit and enjoying themselves. Everyone is so friendly and there is a definite buzz on the island. Even the shops have decorated their windows with island flags!

In other events of the day, we went surfing and it was great! =D
Ive also learnt the unofficial Jersey anthem... Beautiful Jersey, gem of the sea...
