He slayed the Demon!

The weather was wet, windy and chilly not perfect for the worlds toughest half ironman, but off they went on the start of their ironman journey.

My day saw me cheering and clapping and walking back from the bike route with J's bike after she felt unwell and retired on the bike, after a few strong cups of tea in the medical tent she was fine.

Not only is Wimbleball ironmans toughest half distance triathlon, just to make it harder they impose cut off times, if you don't meet them you don't carry on! It's 1hr 10mins to complete the swim, 5.5hrs to complete the swim and bike and 8.5hrs to finish the event.

M in the blip, was trying to slay the demon that occurred two years ago when he didn't make the bike cut off and couldn't start the run. So after two years of preparing for it, today was the day and he did it!!! Although he put his supporters through it worrying that he wouldn't make it, time was getting tight he finished with 6mins to spare in a time of 8hrs 24mins, but he did it all the same and with a smile from ear to ear, well done M!!!
