Long Day
After my roof felting exploits in the baking sun I was in a sorry state. Drove to Heathrow and flew up to Edinburgh through a blustery wind. Terry met us at the airport.
I've started reading the Knausgaard trilogy. It's not what I thought it would be - more structured and longer-episodes of a life remembered in harsh and moving detail. It's early days but I think I'm hooked.
We took a long diversion to Collinton to look at a particular street. Finished up at Waitrose getting provisions. My hand-slapped hamburgers for tea.
We walked in Inverleith Park in the late low sun, the wind still cool and boisterous. I was collapsing by eight.
