Loading the Cannon

Shooting old bowling balls from this homemade cannon, listening to their whistle as they arc high above Cook Inlet,  and waiting for the splash is always one of the highlights of any BBQ at this friend's house. He also fired his Civil War type cannon, which is impressive but somehow lacks the pizazz of watching a bowling ball soar toward the clouds. 
Members of the 3 area Rotary Clubs met for good food, music, and fun. 
It was literally a blast! 
The host owns a business called Metal Magic where they do specialty welding and metal work,  and the giant insect is one of his creations.
