White Peony
We've lots of peonies in the garden, mostly the traditional crimson ones. They have all finished flowering now apart from this one, my solitary white one. This one is only now coming into flower and I'm sure it's months later than usual but I have no pictures to check. Next year I'll be able to look back at this Blip and check.
The crimson ones are well-travelled. The original plant came with my parents from North Wales to Broxburn in 1951. It moved to Barnton in 1960. I took some of it to our first garden in Willowbrae, Edinburgh in 1983, in 1985 we took it with us to Wester Coates when we moved there and it has been here in Blackhall since 1994. I've heard they don't move well, this one seems to be the exception!
