Formula E

Fun and interesting day out in Battersea Park in central London for the final race of the Formula E season.

Yes, motorsport is usually loud (these went "wheeeeeeeeeee" not "roooaaaaaaar") but it was still very fast and there was some close racing.

Disappointingly there was no trackside commentary and they did not have enough personal earpiece radios to go round... so we were very lucky to be standing next to a very helpful chap (who had a radio) who gave us the information we needed to keep track of the race and the championship positions.

Sam Bird (a Brit - hooray) won today's race and Nelson Piquet Jr won the championship.

Tricky to take photos (as you can see) as the fences wanted to be in focus more than the cars.

Overall, a good day but a day which could have been better - had the organisers thought a bit more about the trackside viewing experience.
