It's a flower :-)

It's been a big round bud for a very long time, but now it's a flower!  I tried to look it up - and it's possible it's a peony??  (Don't laugh at me!!)

Anyway, it's now on the window sill in a vase, following an altercation with the football :-(  But still, it's very pretty..
