Neigh!
We went into Stratford for coffee at Nero this morning. En route we pass down Greenhill Street, subject of my #onestreet series. This is a picture of the whole road with number 1 on the corner of Arden Street. No. 1 Greenhill is actually the pink door which was possibly the entrance to Maison, a night club, now closed. The building has had a chequered past originating as The Green Dragon pub, a favourite of bikers, back in the day. It’s been various things since then, including a pole dancing club, though I’m not sure they ever received planning permission for that. There used to be a ladies underwear shop similar to Ann Summers down the road, though that was closed down promptly, Stratford is, unfortunately, that kind of town.
Oh yes, the horse. As we were crossing Arden Street we spotted this abandoned horse at the back of Maison. Whether it was a centre piece in the building’s club time or just a bit of horse-fly tipping, I don’t know!
