It's come to this . . .

Nothing was working photographically today and I had to resort to the cliché of the motorbike mirror for something, anything, that might make a blip. The flags on these Barcelona balconies represent the independence ambitions of some/many in the region - who really knows? The urge seems to be cooling a little at the moment but that's just my detached reading of it. The papers are full of jostling on the matter. The bigger news is that the first female mayor of the city has been elected and she comes from an activist background . . . against ejecting people from their houses when they can't make their mortgage payments due to the impact of the financial crisis that was brought upon the country by the excesses and corruption of the so-called civil society. All power to her.
