Squash Bug

Found three of these little guys on a Anise Hyssop this morning. When I checked my bug field guide I learned that they are Anasa tristis. Since their common name is Squash Bug, I wanted to know if that's what they eat or if that's what I should do to them. Turns out...both of the above! They are found all over the US except the Pacific Northwest, Southern Canada and into Mexico. They are an agricultural pest as they have a the nasty  habit of sucking sap from the stems of food crops. Bad Bugs! I will keep my eyes on these and if I spot more of them...FISH FOOD!

Wishing all of you a Wonderful Week. Stay Cool, or Warm...depending ;)
