Coldra Blue
The England womans football team are doing really well in the World Cup. The kick off for their Quarter final match against hosts Canada was at 12.30am, and I fancied following them. To kill too birds with one stone, I decided to do a night shot and listen on the car radio.
I'd seen these blue light under the M4 motorway at The Coldra roundabout, Newport (South Wales) for a couple of months, and they're fantastic. They make a concrete structure interesting. I took a few from different angles and the blip photo is the one I like best. The Blue motorway sign adds to it as well as the bend in the motorway.
On getting back into the car the England team were 2-0 up and just before half time Canada pulled a goal back to make it a tense 2-1.
I then drove around looking for future night blips as I listened to the match, which finished 2-1. England are now through to the Semi-final against Japan (1st July) who are the current World Cup holders. What an amazing cup run our country is enjoying!
Just as I was getting home the rain started. It had to happen when others have mentioned the poor weather they've been having.
