The First Lily

There's a row of these by the front fence, and they are just starting to bloom. Good timing, because the roses are fading, and the dahlias aren't out yet. Please note, this is not due to any spectacular planning or knowledge on my part. My gardening style is more like the motto that used to be painted on the big pink revolving cement trucks that were around here years ago: Find a Hole and Fill It.
