Goodwood Ball

What a wonderful day. At lunchtime we met up with all our Le Mans friends at a party in Essex to celebrate a little girl's second birthday. It was a Mad Hatter party, and everyone entered into the spirit of it with great enthusiasm. Birthday girl was a very pretty little Alice, and the rest of us were a mixture of Mad Hatters, White Rabbits, Kings and Queens of Hearts and assorted other characters. It was brilliant.

Then I drove to down to Sussex to attend the Goodwood Festival of Speed Ball as a guest of Citroen. What a fabulous night of champagne, celebrity spotting, fireworks, and music by headline act the Kaiser Chiefs.

The dramatic twisting sculpture outside Goodwood House looked fabulous bathed in coloured light.
