Este

Granny and grandad volunteered to take us and Steph and all the nippers out for the morning to Este. Which has a wonderful castle the main grounds of which are now a municipal park with a perfect playground. All three were particular taken by the roundabout which could be turned by holding the middle and went really rather fast. We were a little struck by how quietly all the Italian children were playing in comparison!

As well as the playground we went for an explore to see the walls and the towers (which seem to be deliberately built with just three sides!) and we saw lots of fab lizards too. Then after a bit more playing we headed through the town square for gelato and a climb on the lion statues and Ollie took some really nice photos of everyone on granny's camera. A lovely day out!
