A Day At A Time.

Here We Go Again!

What a day.

Speech Day first with 2 hours and 35 minutes of ceremony, which I actually enjoyed very much. My btm was getting a bit numb by the end though.

Then a reception for Leavers and their parents on the terrace at the Don Carlos hotel, over looking the pool. We looked longingly at the water from aloft!

After an hour or so of that, we meandered down to the Alanda hotel for the staff lunch which was excellent as always. A few more speeches for leaving staff.

A quick dash by taxi to the Oasis to shower and change and then up to Mum's to gather for the last big event of birthday week.

El Oceano was really good and the food delicious. The piano player started to get a bit loud towards the end, but we managed to change our table for one at the far end of the restaurant. Amazingly, having insisted on that when the booking was made, they had set us directly in front of the piano rostrum! A bit of name-dropping and we were hurriedly moved to the back!

So that's it. Mum is exhausted and has a week to recover before we head for the Rock.
