Holiday Road

Daddy had quite the energetic day today, starting off with a surf lesson (birthday present from Nikki) and followed up with a game of football during lunch.  Two lessons in and I'm still pretty hopeless.  I did manage to catch my first open wave but I only lasted a few seconds.  It's a great feeling to be out on the waves and at peace with the world.  I'm not surprised it becomes a lifestyle choice for so many Californians.

Meanwhile the wee man took his Grandma to the Alphabet Garden in the Botanical Garden.  His sister followed along but he took great delight in showing his Grandma one of his favourite spots.

It's amazing how well the wee lady is sitting up now.  She's making noticeable improvements every single day.  She was always a happy baby but it's great to see her brother making her laugh.  Long may it continue!

Starting tomorrow, we're heading off on a 6 day road trip through Palm Springs, along Route 66 and over to the Grand Canyon.  We feel like the Griswolds!
