Pink Water-speedwell
More quadrats this morning round Godmanchester Gravel Pits, a wild and watery place that resounds with the calls of common terns, lesser black-backed gulls and oystercatchers. A damp, mossy corner had a suite of wetland plants, including creeping jenny, tufted forget-me-not and pink water-speedwell, which has such delicately-veined flowers.
