Alexandra Palace.

Today, after a meeting in Crouch End, I stopped to eat my lunch a short distance away at Alexandra Palace, where parking was free! The views from there across London are spectacular. It was built  in the 1870's and used as venue for many entertainments. In 1936, it was used by the BBC to launch the worlds first 'High Definition' television service. (In those days, 405 lines was considered as High Definition!) The radio and TV mast pictured here is still in use today.
