The view over the Firth of Clyde
on a very wet and miserable day (I'm begining to sound like a broken record!)
After a trip to Ikea and lunch in a lovely wee pub in Glasgow's West End MOH and I went for a run to Arochar via Dumbarton and Helensburgh, travelled up round the top of Loch Lomond and home via Crianlarich.
It had been many years since we had made this trip and unfortunately the weather was against us.
This pic was taken from Rhu Marina looking over to Greenock on the far bank. The origin of the town's name is uncertain but it is generally accepted that the it is named after the Gaelic "Grianaig" meaning a sunny place - Aye Right
