Flight

It's T-plus-7 and we're looking good. We saw a textbook take-off and everything is Alpha-OK. It's a beautiful morning and the watching crowd are witnessing History in the making. Icarus took lots of small steps in the run up to his giant leap off the cliff but then he was off...

T-plus-8 and we're seeing a higher trajectory than the pre-flight briefing led us to expect...he's leaving some kind of trail behind him. Not sure what it is but we're pretty sure that it's normal. Possibly it's the Gods showering petals in his wake to honour him?


Ignoring all warnings, Icarus flew
Too close to the warming Sun
But, when all is said and most is done
It's what any hot-blooded Hero would do
