Interesting

Today I left my temporary palace to move on to my next place to stay. En route I visited a place with model gardens. It was set up in 1960 and gradually grew.  The lady in charge,  Mien Ruys, was innovative in her time and also designed gardens for the common man. I show some extra photos,  but my main blip has an interesting fact.  She made sure in this garden that the tiled terrace was not in front of the open doors leading into the garden. Thus she ensures a green view from the living room.  The terrace is not directly in view. A simple thing to do,  but something I don't think I would've thought to do. Most people I know make their terrace right in front of their windows.
