Riverbank view

I popped out for a short while at lunchtime before our new neighbours visited.  I decided to go for a walk further upstream the River Otter than I usually go.  For part of the walk you couldn't see the river because of the abundance of wild flowers covering the riverbank.  I did however manage to spot two kingfishers at different points flying upstream.  I again toyed with the idea of catching some swallows but they quickly moved.

I have to get use to the idea of sea mists.  Today I could see mists tumbling down the nearby hills and I assumed someone was having a very large bonfire.  As I drove off I saw how widespread it appeared and drove past the beach where people were still out in their deckchairs as the mist was starting to roll in.  We were lucky and had a sunny day but other nearby areas were apparently misty all day.
