An Ambition .....

Today has been very busy with an early start to Swinton.It amazes me how this spot has remained the same and that's reassuring .Then a bus to Salford University . The huge AMBITION was very catchy and especially the message as my extra .Clever .The backgound to this collage is the River Irwell and the Crescent . Much cleaner than it used to be it now has so much flora and bird life . The Irwell is the river that divides the City of Manchester and the City of Salford. I visited the deserted boarded up Police Station .Then the Old Fire Station which like so much , now belongs to Manchester University. The housing in Fire Station Square is delightful and beautifully maintained. Residents were very welcoming and gave me much historical detail . Walking along the Crescent was so  lovely I stopped for a coffee. Too slow to capture the cormorants but squirrels were more obliging and darted around as I filmed them .Finally , St Philips Church  C of E  and the Spired RC Cathedral of Salford .An ambition of mine is to relocate to either Salford or Manchester . I find both exciting places where challenges are being met .Maybe I'll  return and become as notorius here re trash and rubbish as David Sedaris is down south . Ambitions are good things to have .
