Mocking bird?

A change of scenery today with a trip out to Berkhamsted to catch up with a friend who is recuperating from knee surgery. As we had lunch in the surprisingly hot sunshine by the Grand Union Canal I thought this juvenile heron on the opposite bank made an unnecessarily ostentatious display of its ability to stand on one leg - a manoeuvre that neither of us is capable of at the moment!
